I think everyone spends part of their life becoming somebody. A name. A reputation. A version of themselves they hope the world will accept. But life has a way of stripping things back. A loss. Not a man and a skull. Just a person meeting the part of themselves that was there before the performance began. The part untouched by approval. Untouched by success. Untouched by the stories they've spent years telling themselves. Maybe that's why neither side looks away. Because some truths stop feeling frightening the moment you finally face them. And maybe the real question isn't who you've become. Maybe it's who you've been underneath it all this time.
