seemingly contrarian take: The “coin everything” meta isn’t sustainable because most creators don’t wanna rug their fans. Attention markets for content on bonding curves are inherently zero-sum. There isn’t a single creator with a massive following that is willing to risk their reputation on their fans losing money.
I could be wrong, would be happy to be proven wrong, but I think NFTs were / are still a better form-factor for owning meaningful digital content, and that the real benefit of blockchains to creators is actually data-transparency vs pure monetization on trading fees.
I don’t think trading attention is wrong, we should just embrace it for what it is, and not confuse it with what actually benefits a creator (which is def not fans getting rugged)
