If you’re doing the white rice, chicken and broccoli weightlifter diet, I highly recommend trying a savory oatmeal to replace the rice. Add picked vegetables and Japanese seasonings like togarashi and furikake, a little soy sauce, and spicy chili crunch, or sambal oelek. Or whatever else you want. Anything goes once you get used to the idea of savory oatmeal. Fried eggs are great mixed in. I do two servings of this Qi’a brand because of the ingredients, higher protein and fiber content, versus just oats, or rice. It’s far more calorie dense than rice and has a lower glycemic index so it’s not spiking your blood sugar as fast.
