There should be a handbook of pluralism — a how-to guide and a set of rhetorical strategies that enable productive pluralistic discourse. For example, no should argue "it's not actually about X, it's about Y" (e.g. "it's not actually about freedom, it's about security") — a favorite trope of debaters on every topic. They should be able to recognize that it's *always* about both X and Y, that advocates for any given position tend to select the frame that suits that position, and that balancing different frames and values is approximately the whole problem of politics. I've found a bunch of statements of principles (from the Better Arguments Project, Living Room Conversations, Braver Angels, BridgeUSA, New Pluralists, Harvard Pluralism Project, etc.) which are all great but a bit too high-level compared to what I'm looking for.
