The timing now could be right because: 1) chain fragmentation is real. mental fatigue for users is high. 2) adoption of embedded wallets is sign that there's demand for abstracted UX. 2) Resource locks dont eliminate trust, they relocate it. There’s always a tradeoff. With resource locks, users gain speed and convenience by shifting trust from the chain to a new coordination layer: the resource lock machine (i.e., allocator + arbiter). This means a user's and solver's risk profile shifts from trusting the chain to trusting the integrity and honesty of these new components.
