the other day i stepped on the scale at the gym and saw a number id never seen before. for context, about a year ago i was severely underweight, body ravaged by an autoimmune issue i’d had for ~2yrs. finally starting to heal, i committed to getting back in the gym. in the year since, i’ve put on 30(!!) pounds and am now in the greatest physical shape of my life, lifting heavier than ever, and happier with how i look than i thought would be possible. all this is to say that you can just do things, you can commit to bettering yourself and becoming the person you want to be, you can do the hard work, and whatever bad hand life is dealing you rn you still have the power to change most, if not all, of it and it’s actually your responsibility to do so. so get to work.
