Studying business models essentially means studying power structures. However, as I interacted with more people, I found a common issue: many lack a fundamental understanding of the essence of power structures and a deep awareness of structural changes. Essentially, they just observe what models those around them are adopting, then copy them. When competition becomes too fierce and they can no longer copy, they are forced to awkwardly adopt new models. This means their subconscious is always about copying other business models, assuming that the existing power structures are reasonable. They never consider under what circumstances models might change or how to construct new business models that create a completely new power structure that benefits them.
